Hearing Nothing at the moment
The Weekend Assignment ask people to pick between their cars and the computers for the one they would be willing to live without. The answers are telling:
"I'm a bit surprised by this assignment. I don't understand HOW or WHY someone would give up their car for a computer! I don't want to offend anyone..but...WHY would someone even consider it? I mean..how else would you get to point A to point B?"
"I live in Southern California so, for as much as I love my computer, I would have to choose my car."
"I will pick my car because I love computers but I need to pick up and deliver a lot!"
"Okay, so this isn't a fair choice. I mean I have more going on here than just my income versus my transportation. And considering I live in a mecca of public transportation opportunities, I could truly live without a car."
"If I had to make such a choice in the real world (and I'd be hard-pressed to find a scenario in which this could ever happen), there's no question that I would give up cars without too much fuss, whereas you'd pretty much have to pry the Logitech mouse out of my cold, dead fingers."
"...if I have to live without either a computer or a car... I am afraid the computer will have to go."
"I'd vote with my feet – the computer would have to go. I know, there are some who say I could move into a town or city, but frankly, I am not psychologically wired to live in a place where swinging a (frozen, dead) cat by the tail would knock out twenty people and bring the humane agents out with automatic weapons."
"The reason I would choose my computer: I can do anything on my computer. I can write, compose music, order food, send email, chat with friends, play games, surf teh intraweb, go shopping. While I would miss my car, I could probably secure rides places or pay for a taxi. I live right next to a shopping plaza so I wouldn’t ever starve or want for anything."
"I would have to choose the computer. With it, I pay my bills, upload my pictures, get more mail than I get in a physical mailbox (and no junk mail!), and I get to write in my journal, for all to see."
It's not a slam dunk for the car after all, which, frankly, I expected it would be. There are more comments here as well. Thanks, everyone! This was an edifying Weekend Assignment.

I would have to improvise a compuetrcar so no one would ever bother me again.

You can't steal a car and put it in your computer.
