Hearing Won't Give In -- Finn Brothers

My daughter came home from school today with unusually pink hands, which, as such strange things often do, prompted me to think of a Weekend Assignment:
Weekend Assignment #155: Recount a distinctively childish thing you did (or your children did) when you or they were children. Because things like painting your hands pink, or trying to make chocolate milk with mud, or arranging a marriage between your stuffed animals? Not something you're likely to do when you're older.
Extra Credit: The name of your favorite stuffed animal growing up.
In the interest of getting to the bottom of the pink hands event pictured above, I decided to let Athena speak for herself about it:
So, how did you get the pink hands?
I painted them pink at art.
Explain the thinking process that ended with pink hands.
I wanted to get my hand polka dotted, so I painted them pink because another table had purple, and then I asked them to polka dot my hands with the purple and they did, and then everyone else polka dotted their hands too, so they copied off of me. But in a good way.
Did you get in trouble?
No, no one caught me. And if someone did catch me, they'd probably think it was okay and just tell me to go wash my hands.
So making your hands pink overall was a positive experience, you would say.
I guess so.
Would you do it again?
Yes, but only a thousand more times.
Nice to know there's a limit on these things.
My favorite teddy bear growing up: Lt. General Potter Patton Chocolate Chip Cookie. No, I'm not entirely sure why I named a stuffed animal is if it were an AKC show name. I guess I was just that kind of kid.
Your up -- share your memory of a particularly childish thing you did, or your children did. Write it up on your blog or journal, and then come back here to leave a link. It'll be fun to relive those innocent days. Just, you know. Don't do it again.
(Since there a likelihood of kids involved in pictures you might post, a reminder of AOL's standard disclaimer: Please be careful about posting pics of your kids, especially kids currently under 13. You shouldn't post personally identifying information (such as the name of their school), which could easily be used by people you don't know on the Internet to contact them. Also, it's against official policy to post photos of other people's under-13 kids (this includes relatives) without parental permission.)

Being a model child, and having raised two model children, it should come as no surprise that I had to go farther up the family tree for the fodder for this week's assignment:

D'oh! I forgot to do this Thursday night! And Athena, if you decide not to be a novelist, an artist, a professional softball player, a filmmaker or President of the United States, you can always do stand up comedy. - Karen
