Hearing Bold as Love -- John Mayer
Hey, is this the first time I'm posting a link to the New Yorker? I think it might be. Be that as it may, this story, "The Wisdom of Children" pretty much hits it on the head about what it's like to be younger. For example, a bit from A Conversation at the Grownup Table, as Imagined at the Kids’ Table:
MOM: Pass the wine, please. I want to become crazy.
DAD: O.K.
GRANDMOTHER: Did you see the politics? It made me angry.
DAD: Me, too. When it was over, I had sex.
UNCLE: I’m having sex right now.
DAD: We all are.
I can't tell you how disappointing it was when I finally moved to the adult table at Thanksgiving.
