Hearing She Works Hard for the Money -- Donna Summers
Right now a bunch of guys are on my roof, making strange pounding noises, so I thought this would be a good idea for a Photo Shoot:
Your Monday Photo Shoot: Take a picture of people working outside. Because now the weather's right for it (mostly). If you have a photo in your archives of people working outside, that works too.

We live at the top of a small hill, and our house gets smacked by some pretty high winds, which means that every year we lose a fair amount of shingles. This year we lost more than usual, and during late fall/early winter we lot a whole bunch at one time. Now that it's warm enough, we've got contractors up there replacing all the shingles we lost. It's all very noisy, with lots of banging and crashing and thumping, and occasionally I honestly expect one of the dudes just to fall down the side. They seem to know what they're doing, however.
Someone asked me once why I didn't just go up there and replace the shingle myself, and I just laughed. First, I know my own home improvement competence, and it ain't that high. Second, if I fall off the roof, I'm pretty much done for the year. These guys fall off the roof, and they're done for the year, too, but since they're bonded, it's not so much my problem. I pay extra for not having to run the risk of breaking my own neck, basically. And I'm happy to do it.
You're up: Post a picture of outside labor, whether it's yourself working in the garden or snapping a picture of the guys putting together a high rise. Take a fresh one or one from the archives, post in your blog or journal, and then come back to leave a link. Remember, it's called the Monday Photo Shoot, but posting on tuesday, Wednesday or even Thursday morning is just fine, too.
Let's get to work!

I love this subject since I am surrounded by people tearing this city apart and putting it back together again, modernized, expanded, and up to date. We are making history here. Here is my photo of men working on the fast transit next to my home in the downtown Westward Ho. http://journals.aol.com/gehi6

Up in the air. look! It's "White Hats"! Will they fall to their death 200 feet below in the icy waters of the Penobscot River?
