Hearing Samson -- Regina Spektor
Most of you know I use Photoshop to fiddle with my photos, but I don't have it installed on all of my computers, and many people neither want or need Photoshop for their photo editing needs. One of the cool things that is happening these days is that nicely-featured photo editors are appearing online to help you do more than crop and resize and fiddle with contrast -- some have cool filters and support advanced tricks like layers. ExtremeTech looks at five of these online editors and the features they have for you to play with. If you've got some photo fiddling to do, they might be worth your time to look at.
(And don't forget you can also do basic photo editing with AOL Pictures, he said, nodding in the direction of his corporate masters. Oh, AOL. I love you!)

If I bought my computer like last year, is Photoshop on there somehow? It does sound fun.

Great, now I'll be singing "We Love You Birdie" (or, more likely the adapted version, "We Love You Beatles") the rest of the day. Thanks for the tip, though. I've been using software that came free with my scanner. It has a few faults, but overall it's good enough that I seldom pine for PhotoShop any more.
