Hearing Nothing at the moment

Journals Editor Joe did this week's Photo Assignment of capturing something moved by the wind, and in doing so marked a sad occasion: the Virginia and AOL flags at half mast, in mourning for the lives lost this week at Virginia Tech. He's not the only to capture flags at half mast; here's another, and another, and another, and one more. A sad time for all.
Other things moved by the wind:
Windmills (appropriately enough)
Nor'Easter waves (and some more besides)
Palm branches brought down
Windsocks
Kites!
A winded rooster
Even more kites
Bubbles everywhere
A wind-borne husband
Thanks, everyone, for these good and timely pictures.

I forget who did it, but I really, really liked the one with the windmill in motion. Top Shotch Nit.
