Hearing Nothing at the moment

Here in Scottsdale (which is a suburb of Phoenix) my publishing company has me ensconced in a fairly swanky resort, which is nice, although as I face the golf course (as you can see here in today's "picture out the hotel window" contribution), I've lived in vague fear of an errant golf ball crashing through the window. Fortunately, no such missile delivery has occured to date, and right now it's still a little early for duffers. I think I may have escaped an attack via dimpled ball.
The resort is lovely, but I have no time to enjot it -- I've got a 10 am flight to San Diego. But that's the story of this tour so far: I have just enough time to say, hey, this looks like a nice town and then I leave it. Ah, well.
In other news: Happy May! This is my birthday month, so I'm partial to it.
How are you doing?

Must be the 1st of the month, and all the geezers are out grabbing the SS cheques.

Here I am in Phoenix, just across the way as you pass through. Just wanted you to know you were close. I saw your books in Barnes and Noble on 24th and Camelback. Gerry http://journals.aol.com/gehi6
