A (not so) Bubbly View

For folks who have wondered if home prices these days aren't just a little unrealistic -- and what will happen to those folks who bought new homes with some of the fast and loose mortgage options available -- I present you CNN/Money's Scenes From a Bubble. This looks at the current real estate market from the point of view of homeowners, lenders, analysts and others. It's a sobering look at something that could put a real crimp in our economy.

The key to real estate is to pay off the house quickly, however you get it done. Then, you own something in 2040 AD with an inflated 2040 dollar value that you paid for in 2007 dollars. That's how wealth is established.
