Hearing Nothing at the moment
So, I'm writing this on a business center computer at the hotel I'm at right now, because I've had a very sad (and highly annoying) event just happen: My laptop just went all explody on me. One minute it's working fine and the next the hard drive is making the horrible tubercular sound, the screen freezes up, and then when I try to reboot the computer can't find the C: drive. Man, I it when that happens.
So: Laptop dead as Marley's ghost. This means updates around these here parts may be scarce for a couple of days until I can get a replacement laptop (I can't assume every place I go will have a business center, and I check out of here tomorrow morning in any event).
So if you don't see me around the next couple of days, don't panic -- I'm not dead, and I'm not fired, I'm just laptop - less. I'll be back here as soon as I can.

Just run around yelling loudly. Eventually, someone will put on a blog somewhere that "Author John Scalzi was running around an airport screaming that everyone should take a picture of their pets for the Monday Photo Shoot."
