Hearing Nothing at the moment

The Monday Photo Shoot Without an Example Photo

Well, I can't post any pictures to By The Way at the moment, because I'm using the hotel business center for this post, and the have their computers hidden behind a wall (seriously - the monitor is placed flush into the business center wall, there's only a wireless keyboard and mouse visible, and I'm having to stand in front of a counter on which the keyboard and mouse are placed). But I don't want you to think I've entirely abandoned you, just because I am laptop - less. So, here's an assignment anyway, which you may find curiously themed to my particular situation:

Your Monday Photo Shoot : Take a picture of some machine and/or piece of technology that you have a love/hate relationship with.

Now, the most obvious thing here would be one's computer, the source of so many love/hate emotions. But don't feel limited to that: If you've got a toaster that gives you heartbreak, snap a picture of that. Or a car. Or a remote control. Or an MP3 player. Or a blender! Really, whatever. It's all good (or bad, you know, depending).

Take that picture. Put it up on your blog/journal, maybe tell a little about why you have that love/hate relationship, and then come back here and leave a link. Trust me, knowing that I'm not the only one with technological issues right about now will make me feel a lot better.

(PS: I'll be late in posting the results to this week's Weekend Assignment -- doing that is actually a not trivially complicated process, best done one a computer of one's own. Patience, patience.)

Update, 7:08 pm: look! It's the new computer!
