Catching Up With Weekend Assignments and Photo Shoots

In all the excitement of my laptop dying and my book tour ending, I quite forgot to post the results of last week's Weekend Assignment and this week's Photo Shoot. Well, that's no good, so herewith you'll find links for both!

For last week's Weekend Assignment, I asked folks to show off the weather where they were. And now, the weather report (a few days late):

A lovely Maine day

Gorgeous in California (of course!)

But also gorgeous in Connecticut, so there you are.

Changeable in the Central Valley

Hazy in Florida

Rainy in Minnesota

Stormy weather? Not here.

Dramatic fog, with horses.

Reflected weather in San Francisco

Sunny in Tucson

Whoa. Storm clouds a-comin'

Sunny days in Jersey are perfect for dandelion nibbling (click through, it's way cute)

Lovely photos. And now, for this Monday's photo shoot, I encouraged people to take pictures of technology that vexed them. It was a small turnout this week (which makes sense, as I was vexed by technology myself as I posted the assignment), but hey -- we got quality.

Anaedream has issues with her Web cam.

Wil has a laptop that works great -- but that he can't use.

Mavarin considers her car.

Jmorancoyle says, of her refrigerator, "God put this in my life to make me pay for sins I committed in another life." Yow.

Thanks so much to everyone who played along this week, and I'm happy to say that after today, we're back on track!
