Hearing Locked Out -- Crowded House
Athena is in a rockin' mood, and so am I:
Weekend Assignment #166: Name the three songs you listen to when you totally want to rock out. Note that they don't actually have to be rock songs -- they can be in any genre whatsoever, and from any era. They just have to be the songs that get you pumped up and ready to go.
Extra Credit: And name one song to cool you back down.
Three songs for me, with videos courtesy of AOL Music:
1. "Starlight" by Muse -- Probably my favorite song of the last couple of years
2. "Ray of Light" by Madonna -- From her best album (by far), and a lot of fun to hop around to
3. "American Idiot" by Green Day -- Really, this whole album is a jolt right to the skull.
My song to cool down to: "Fidelity," By Regina Spektor, which you can see here.
Your turn: Pick some songs to rock to (you don't have to get the videos, just list them), post them on your site, and then come back here to leave a link. Have fun with the music!

I don't mind the Weekend Assignment being part of a larger article as long as somewhere in there you make clear you're doing the Weekend Assignment -- i.e., if I go visit a link and it's not obvious to me, I may skip listing it. I don't do this to be a jerk, just to make sure that anyone who follows the link doesn't get confused.
