Just when you think you're right and everyone else is wrong, there's a list to put things into perspective: 26 Reasons What You Think is Right is Wrong. Most of these describe error of thought -- basically, all the reasons why you can't see that you're wrong. Oh, don't worry, everybody does these. Just don't do them all at once, okay? Because then you've got a problem.

I have a distressing tendency to fall for Planning Fallacy over and over again, alas. I blame others!

  I counseled for a while... what is wrong with most people is one or more of these:
  
  - they're poor
  
  - they're ugly
  
  - they system has them beaten, and they know it
  
  - they're crazy.
