Weekend Assignment #169: Photocreativity

I've been on a kick recently, using Photoshop to fiddle with photos to make them something other than what they've been before. So, with this in mind:

Weekend Assignment #169: Do something creative with a photo to make it look different and unusual. For those of you with Photoshop or some other photo editor, you can use filters and other techniques to do this. If you don't have a photo editing program, you might look at some of these online photo editors out there, some of which allow you fiddle quite a bit with your photos. If you'd like you can also post the original, unaltered photo so people can compare and contrast.

Extra Credit: How old were you when you got your first camera?

Here's mine, which I call "camouflage":

I made this picture using several Photoshop filters, including Stamp and Cutout, and by boosting the color saturation. Here's the original, so you can see how far it's come:

I took this photo while Lopsided Cat was chasing me around the yard. why was he chasing me? I don't know. He's a cat. You think he knows why he does what he does sometimes?

Extra credit: I got my first camera when I was eight: It was on old fashioned camera where the image was upside down in the viewfinder, and you stared down into it. I don't think I ever actually got any film for it; I just stared at the upside down world for hours on end. Yes, I was a strange kid. What can I say.

Your turn: Take an image, fiddle with it mightily, post it in your blog or journal and then come back here and leave a link. Let's see how wild we can get with the photo editing, shall we?
