Hearing Nothing at the moment

Today I was stuck at the car dealership for a couple hours, while the mechanics there tried to figure what the heck that weird sound my air conditioner was making was all about (short answer: Apparently a leaf got in there and made buzzing noises as it flapped incredibly quickly), so while I was waiting I did something new for me, which was to watch a full-length movie on my little portable media player. Despite the image above, I didn't watch 300 (although I have it loaded onto the player); I watched Shooter, starring Mark Wahlberg.
I wasn't really expecting watching a widescreen film on a two-and-a-half inch screen to be a really optimal experience, but I have to say it was actually surprisingly a not bad way to watch the film. Clearly you're going to miss details on a screen that small (there's a scene in which a character is typing stuff into a computer, and I can't see anything he's typing), but overall everything was generally pretty clear, and the sound, as it was coming through earbuds, was better than I get off the TV in my bedroom. I don't know that I would recommend it for regular movie watching, but when one's in the waiting room of a car dealership with a couple hours to burn? It's definitely doable.

I'm so out of it... didn't even know they made one of those things. Glad you had something to pass the time with.
Take care, Chrissie

Don't watch the 300 on it... it would be a waste of the cinematography!
be well,
