Hearing Octopus' Garden -- The Beatles

I think I sometimes give the impression that of our two cats, Lopsided Cat is the outdoor cat, while Ghlaghghee is the indoor one. In fact, both cats spend a nearly equal amount of time indoors and outdoors, because aside from being pets they're both working cats, i.e., they catch the various vermin that leave the agricultural fields around our house and would otherwise infest our home.
To accentuate this point, here's Ghlaghghee in the garden, posing right in front of our blackberry canes (and the asparagus bush to the left). Shortly after taking this picture, she entered the line of tree just behind the garden, tail twitching, undoubtedly looking at something small and rodent-like and huntable. I left her to her task; hey, I don't like being interrupted when I'm working; why would she?

How adorable... I didn't realize that is why you let them out. Makes sense...
be well,

Whoa...well Dusty & Country are only indoor cats but don't let that make you think they don't work. Dusty's record is 5 mice in 45 min from my folks basement! :-) I'd take it from him & he'd go back down & bring up another one...ha! Poor thing kept getting his fun toy taken away. Country eats the mice...ick! Dusty just scares them to death or suffocates them. I just don't want them getting something from the mice or if someone in the neighborhood put out something to kill the mice & they ate it & then my cat eats the mice...ugh!

love your cat, I own three seniors and they stay inside all the time...because of the dog that came to live with us two years ago...they didn't take to kindly to having a big animal chase them around. One of my cats who is 14 years old fights him down and it is so funny to see Max the dog take off, Rascal has always been a terror but now I think she values time spent with me, and can't do that when the dog is barking at her. My other two cats are Shadow who is 105 in our years and the baby Scooter is eight years old. Enjoy Catherine Costello
