Hearing Second Chance -- Liam Finn
Did you miss me? I'm assuming not, since I don't think I told folks here I was going to be gone. But I was -- I drove up to Ann Arbor yesterday so I could see Crowded House in concert, and I just back from that (not the concert -- it was over last night. From the travel).
It was, incidentally, a great concert. Crowded House has been one of my favorite bands for a long time, but they broke up before I had a chance to see them, so I assumed they would just be one of those bands I was fated to miss seeing. However, they regrouped earlier this year (minus original drummer Paul Hester, who is unfortunately dead) and I swore that I wouldn't miss them this time around. Thus, I ended up traveling 190 miles to see 'em. Worth every mile: a good set list, great performances and even fun banter between songs. They've still got several stops on their tour, so if they're coming to your town (or near it), I definitely recommend you check them out.
So, what did you do with your day so far?

What did I do with my day? Well, I did the photo shoot thingy, and then I lit a candle in the Scalzi shrine I keep in my attic. It's not much of a shrine, so if you could send some stuff it'd help. Maybe some hair and fingernail clippings?
hahaha... I actually just wrote and got the brakes fixed on my Jeep. Exciting stuff.

I'm seeing them in two weeks. And I only have to drive 20 minute up the hill to the Paul Masson winery.

Hey, now. Hey, now. Don't dream -- it's over.
