Hearing St. Christopher -- Eddi Reader

The Last Days of Summer

Today is the last weekday before Athena starts school for the year, so naturally we're trying to maximize her fun time if at all possible. The first step: All the video games she can play! Here she's playing Sam & Max, featuring two adorably psychotic animals acting as freelance police. Later we may play outside, although with the heat and humidity being what it is at the moment, we may choose to skip that option. Still later we'll stuff her full of candy. All right, maybe not so much that last one. But as the last weekday of summer, we'll find something she'll enjoy.

If you have school-age kids, when do they go back to school? Are you ready?

Eat icecream until you get brain feeze, Athena. Great fun as a kid, not so much being an adult.

At first glance, I thought: Athena's playing a little GTA: San Andreas.

Thank you for pointing out that it's Sam & Max.  I was ready to give you an eyeful of a self-righteous, judgmental, perfectly-typed, interweeb scolding that you would not soon forget mister.

Still...  Can you jack cop cars in Sam and Max?

    Sept. 6th!

We're going to Splashtown/Funtown this weekend with Sophia's best friend coming up to hang with us.  Then it's another week of summer camp.  She starts school the Thursday after Labor Day.  Which is good because that's when our teacher is off so we're working our tails off.  Ugh.
