Hearing See You -- Foo Fighters
On one hand: New England's largest occupied single-family home, larger than 20 average houses, complete with full-sized movie theater.
On the other hand: An entire Ohio city taking the hit from the current mortgage crisis.
The one is not directly related to the other, mind you. It's just that some days, America has more of a "gilded age" feel to it than others.

Id hate to clean it.

I think the largest home is simply ridiculous. They certainly are legends in their own minds. The housing market has crashed here. Many many empty houses without a buyer in site.

I've noticed more and more For Sale signs blooming up in my neighborhood. Right now, there are about six in two city blocks. I can't imagine this will go well for anyone.

That the subprime fallout is hitting minorities so hard (in the article cited and in one in the NYT today) is also frustrating.
