Hearing Pop! Goes My Heart -- Pop!
This week's Weekend Assignment asked people to share two truths -- and one lie. Then folks were to guess which was the lie. What's I'm going to do now is post the links in the statements I think are falsehoods; click through to see all three.
"I once had a beer with Leonard Nimoy. He was not Spock."
"I am a classically trained violist, I got to play at Carnegie Hall when I was 16."
"My alma mater is the Insurance School of Chicago."
"My favorite bird is the pelican."
"Peaches frighten me, because of the cyanide in peach pits."
"I am a messy person. If you go into my room, it's like a black hole."
"I have a teddy bear named Howard. I've had him since I was 23."
"My siblings range in age from 54 to 9."
"I am scared to death of bees."
"I don't like meatloaf."
"I did not learn how to swim until I was about 18 years old."
"I hate eating in restaurants."
"I was Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts."
"Despite all logic to the contrary, I worry that the toys will one night come alive and start walking around, possibly with murderous intent."
Excellent lies!
Incidentally, my lie? The one about the soup slurping. I don't like it, but it doesn't actually drive me insane.
Thanks everyone!

You people are frigging weird if you think that's the lie.

Although I'm not sure I should be admitting that I am, indeed, scared of the toys...
