Hearing Celebrate -- Kool and the Gang

Here's a temporal landmark for you: The first fog delay of the school year. Here in these parts, if the fog gets too thick, they'll delay the school day by a couple of hours to avoid the issue of putting the buses on country roads where the visibility is such that you can't see the front of the bus from the back. Intellectually I know this is a fine idea, but having lived in California's central valley, where the Tule fog will keep you from seeing the hand at the end of your arm, emotionally part of me wants to say "you call this 'fog'?" in an incredulous voice.
In any event, it means Athena gets a little extra sleep before starting her school week. That's not a bad thing for her.

I always found "fog days" in Ohio rather funny myself. Here, we get snow/ice days, which seem a little more worthy of delay. Granted, our fog isn't usually that bad up here, and since most people drive like absolute maniacs on Ohio's country roads -- it's probably better to delay school a bit.
Snow days are just more fun though, ya know?
