Hearing Ikea -- Jonathan Coulton

Well, I made it to Chicago. More accurately, I made it to Schaumberg, which is where the booksellers' trade show I'm attending is at; it's just north of Chicago. And here's a fun fact: I'm pretty sure it took me less time to traverse the entire state of Indiana than it did for me to get across Chicago on the Dan Ryan Expressway. I swear to God it took me two and a half hours. And I got there before the theoretical "rush hour." Honestly I don't know why anyone in Chicago drives anywhere.
The good news is that I leave on Sunday afternoon, and I can't imagine that the traffic will be that stacked up on the way back. And if it is, I'm never driving to Chicago again. There, I've said it.

That's a lovely view of the Ikea ... oh. Never mind.
Me? I had a delightful day here in Chicago, driving freely on unobstructed roads. The key -- don't drive on the Dan Ryan. -
Dude. You're like 20 minutes from my place. We should totally hang.

Nice shot of Ikea.
Sunday afternoon is usually bad too.
