Hearing Nothing at the moment
The LAist blog has some amazing photos of the recent southern California firestorms, taken by an amateur photographer. He may be amateur, but he knows how to take a good picture. It also shows that if you have a striking subject -- as this guy certainly did -- it's difficult to go wrong. All things considered, however, I'm guessing a lot of people would have preferred not to have the circumstances that allowed for such great shots.
