Hearing Mr. Brightside -- The Killers

Frosty!

Temperatures were close to 80 early last week, but October has finally seem to have read the memo about being frosty. And so here we are: An entire yard of frost for your viewing pleasure. The frost is sublimating even as we speak: the sun has come up from the east and is making its way through the line of trees on the eastern border of my property. That's actually the part I like the best because it's fun to look at the "frost shadows" -- i.e., the frost left in the shadows of trees because the sunlight hasn't hit it yet. This is the stuff that make October my favorite month. Shame it's almost over.

I kind of like that I read this in backwards order, seeing the beauty in the frosted red flower, and now, seeing it there as just part of the overall scenery.  My dog likes weather, also.  Hope your trip is safe and great.

Oh, how frightful!  It dropped to freezing here also I believe.  I didn't have the guts to go out and photograph like you though!

Wow..  This is really quite pretty.  I love the beauty that Fall and Winter bring, but could do without the cold.  Guess you can't have one without the other, huh?
