Hearing Many Worlds Are Born Tonight -- Happy Rhodes
At least, that's what they're telling us at the moment:
U.S. adult obesity rates seem to have leveled off, at least temporarily, the government reported Wednesday.
About 33 percent of adult men and 35 percent of U.S. women were obese in 2005-2006, according to a comprehensive survey by the federal government that includes physical examinations.
That’s more than 72 million people, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Mind you, it's also more than double the percentage of obese folks we had back in 1980. Oh, those crazy, svelte 80s!
Also, the US obesity rates may be leveling off, but I could still stand to lose about ten pounds. Not exactly the right time of year to be trying that, I suppose. Even so, I'm going to give it the old college try.
How about you? Feeling more svelte these days?

That is because teens are higher! Ugh!
Ya, well pretty soon we will all lose weight because we will be walking to work if these gas prices continue to go up! The numbers probably came down because all the baby boomers have to lose weight to save their hearts! I'm at the tail end of them.
I'm in the same situation with injuries...just hurt my right foot now last Wed & in a soft cast. -
Speak for yourself, America! By the time these holidays are over, my girth will become the stuff of legend!

With this bum knee, I can't take my daily walks. In fact, I'm pretty much stuck to my computer desk. I'm scared to get on the scales. One week until surgery, and I do hope it fixes my knee!

I've put on my typical winter weight now that I am not in the garden all of the time. I keep thinking that I will go to the gym but haven't yet. Heck, it's dark when I head to work in the morning and dark when I get home in the evening so I am too depressed to think about the gym. Ugh...I need sunlight!
Hey, but you gave me an idea for a post. Thanks!
