Hearing Joy to the World -- The Edison Concert Band
If you're having the urge to kick the carols in the old school way -- and we're talking really old school, like 100 years ago old school -- then you'll want to check out this collection of Christmas Carol mp3s, made from wax cylinder recordings. The oldest of these goes back to 1904. Who knew they had Christmas carols back then? (That's a joke. Please don't hit me.)
Note that the sound quality on these recordings is pretty much what you'd expect the sound quality to be on a century-old piece of wax. Even so, it's fascinating stuff.
