Hearing Nothing at the moment
Are you wondering which jobs will be popular through the year 2016? Of course you are. Everyone wonders about the year 2016 all the time. It's an election year, you know. Well, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, these are going to be the biggest-growing jobs for the next decade or so. Hope you like sales and fast food preparation!
Likewise, if you're hoping to find something that will actually pay reasonably and will be in huge demand, one word for you, and no, it's not "plastics." That was 40 years ago, folks. Time to get over it. The word: Nursing. Yes, it's gonna be big.

Silly girl, nurses don't handle bedpans, the CNA's do it. Question? Do LPN's still exist?

Plastics was actually 60 years ago. Nursing is the way it is because of the hiring practices back in the 1980's, when those in the hot seat were afraid of loosing their jobs. No one was hiring nurses back then. So, when those nurses retired, ah, there weren't any there to replace them. Alas, created a nursing shortage. I know that for a fact as I did call several hospital HR's to find out if it was worth my time to finish my nursing degree. You know what they said? You need a year's working experience as an RN to be hired. So, if you were fresh out of school, you had to find an alternate medical job to get in the door. No one was hiring 20 plus years ago, anywhere in this country. That is why there is a nursing shortage.
