Hearing Nothing at the moment
Athena's home from school for the rest of the year and she's already decreed that we're going to spend a whole bunch of time together! And I've explained to her that I have a book deadline at the end of the year, and she's given me that look that says I know you think you are going to thwart my will here, and I think that's cute. It'll be an interesting couple of weeks, I expect.
(What I actually expect will happen is that I'll spend time with her in the mornings and afternoons, and then in the evening work on my book once Krissy gets home. Now to explain this plan to my wife, whom I expect will give me a similar look to the one Athena just gave me. Moral of this story: deadlines and holidays don't mix. Try to avoid having the two at the same time whenever possible. Now you know.)

I see you writing your stuff, and it's not nearly as long-winded and over-detailed like Clancy's stuff is... and he cranks out like 5 books a year.... yup, I'd wager there's some wealthy-but-neglected Clancy kids stuffed off into some New England prep school somewhere, building up a list of things to tell the psychologist.

It's true. I heard Clancy doesn't even chew his own food anymore.

Tom Clancy sub-contracts his parenting?
