Hearing Nothing at the moment
Sometimes even the Coast Guard gets the bad end of a wave, as this stunning series of pictures shows when a cutter meets a 25 foot wave, and the meeting doesn't go as the crew might have hoped. But don't worry about the crew; they're all right in the end. You'll have to read all the way through for the details.
In any event, the pictures are a reminder that, indeed, mother nature can pretty much slap us around when she gets a mind to. Prepare accordingly.

Thank You!

Gotta love the Coast Guard. Who took the photos?

Ahoy, landlubber... I get to sound grizzled now.
I've been in my house while waves like that were crashing into it. While I won't tell you that we weren't scared, I will admit- proudly- that we got a few bong hits in us during the episode. I hang tough.
I'm sure people in Florida or Louisiana would have even better storm wave stories. -
Those pics freak me out. I would have wished I were dead.
