Hearing Moon River -- Petra Haden and Bill Frisell

Your Monday Photo Shoot #1: Sunsets

Picture from Hometown

So, yes, I've decided to go ahead and a photo feature on Mondays -- the idea of being simple: I suggest a thing to photograph, and you either go out and photograph it, or, if you already have a suitable photograph you want to share, go ahead use that. Then post the photo on your own AOL Journal, and then just come back here and post a link in the comments.

There is no time limit -- you don't have to rush to get your photo in. Anytime you get around to get around to it is fine. Although of course, it'd be best to get it in during the first couple of days (Monday and Tuesdays), before the entry slips off the By The Way main screen.

We'll start off easy, so everyone can play:

Your Monday Photo Shoot #1: Show us a picture of a sunset near you. Again, you can take a fresh picture, or show off a picture from an earlier sunset. Note -- it does have to be a picture you take.

I took the sunset picture you see above just yesterday -- the first really nice sunset of the year, actually. Ohio is not nationally known for having spectacular sunsets, but I can assure you that in this neck of the Buckeye state, at least, we get some very fine ones indeed.

I'm looking forward to seeing sunsets from your part of the world!

(PS: Need a little help sizing and cropping pictures and uploading them via FTP? Here's an entry on AOL's FTP, and here's an entry on editing pictures. Have fun!)
