Contacting John Scalzi

There is nothing more I would like in the world than for you to send me some e-mail. Before I get to the addresses, however, a couple of quick instructions. Following these will help me read and respond better to your mail:

If you're sending me a link to use: Please put LINK: right at the beginning of your subject line.

If you're sending me a comment that you don't mind if I quote in the Journal: Please put COMMENT: right at the beginning of your subject line.

Got a question about an entry, AOL Journals, or me? Please put QUESTION: right at the beginning of your subject line.

If you're sending me a note for my personal attention only: Please put PERSONAL: right at the beginning of your subject line.

Everything else: Please put OTHER: right at the beginning of your subject line.

I will read all non-spam mail. However, I get a lot of mail one particular day, I may not be able to respond personally. If you don't hear back from me, please don't think I hate you. I like you. A lot. Also, some questions I can't/won't answer -- read about those questions here.

All mail not marked with PERSONAL: I will consider eligible to quote from and/or post.

Okay, ready for my mail address? Here you go:

john@scalzi.com

I check mail more or less constantly through that spiffy new AOL Communicator gadget (except when I'm asleep or away from the computer, obviously. I do both sometimes), so there's a good chance I'll read your mail shortly after you send it. So send it!

Quick final tip -- I should have mentioned this before, but please don't post comments in this particular entry: It's an archived entry and I don't check it on a regular basis. It's better to send me e-mail in the ways I've outlined above.

I am having a very hard time accessing my aol mail. I log in and then it tellme that I am not logged in. I then log out and try it again and the same things pops up. What is wrong with aol. I have never had this problem with yahoo or hotmail. Please answer this question.
                                                                                       Sincerely,
                                                                                       Wetzel Justice Jr.

Can you put me in contact with someone from AOL to discuss the on-going problems I am having accessing my internet sight to make changes, or even making it to the list of my sites and journals without having to try and retry nearly 100% of the time? I am also still having problems with the web-sites kicking out the journal addresses and preventing people from going to the journals. It doesn't do that with the non-AOL sites I add. For three days I have attempted to access my site to make changes, and with great difficulty and continued effort, I was able to make it on once. The journals part is great, but the Easy Design section of web-sites is more miss than hit. Who do I contact or talk too????

    Thank you,
    Dave S.

    QUESTION:

Why am I having such a hard time with my AOL Home Pages often not being able to find my journals, when I link them? In my favorites section I click and go right to the journals. On my Home Pages, sometimes the link works and other times, even when it is showing the right journal address, it pops up that it cannot find the journals. This only happens through the home page program.

    Thanks
    Dave

    QUESTION
Am having a problem inserting art from File Manager into my private journal.  No problem before last Sunday, 2/25/07.  AOL Help was not able to help. AOL You've Got Pictures is all that is available.  Don't like to use this as text doesn't wrap around art.  Any easy answers?  Thank you...

Comment, I like reading the aol alerts and recently exploring further Journals and blogs.  Do you suppose that anyone might consider "self Centered children were born of Self Centered Parents? Oh yes other than killing hitler 18 times, the book premise sounds readable by me, what is the name of the Book?.  Journal of mine, Richard andrew Marts, D.C.
