Hearing All I Really Want -- Alanis Morissette

Weekend Assignment #89: What I Really Want

Tis the season to get a little crazy with the wishes:

Weekend Assignment #89: Money is no object: What do you really want for Christmas/Hanukkah/The Seasonal Celebration of Your Choice? Shoot for the moon, here folks. Share the thing you'd want to get if everyone you knew was a billionaire and wanted to spend money on you. One caveat: Don't ask to get celebrities of other people for the purposes of, well, you know. We're trying to keep things PG around here. Also: wishing for world peace is all very nice, but come on. Treat yourself.

Extra Credit: Seriously, what would you do if someone got you that thing?

Call me hopelessly shallow, but I want one of the new Mustangs, because they're sweet looking cars and they make me want to go for long drives. It kills me to admit this is what I want because I am so not a car person -- for 10 years I drove an Escort around, you know? I was proud of my lack of interest in the whole car thing. But the new Mustangs just call to me. There are cars that are faster, cooler-looking, have more horsepower, whatever. Don't care. This is the car that tickles my fancy. If Ford ever makes a hybrid Mustang, I will be there with little bells on. And yes, I fully expect the tinkling sounds when I walk will disconcert the sales people. That's all part of the haggling plan.

What would I do if someone got me one? Giggle like a schoolgirl, I suppose. Although I guess that would be a reason not to get me one, now, wouldn't it.

Now, share! Splurge in your imagination and tell us all what you really wish for. Write it up in your blog or journal and then come back here. Who knows? Maybe Santa -- or a very rich person with a yen to give random strangers expensive gifts -- will be reading.
