~now this is truely sad~

My hubby has been telling me that soon Vanilla Coke will be discontinued, I passed it off as his usual male "dumbness", so yesterday I looked it up on the internet, I almost fainted!

They are ... it is true!  My heart nearly stopped, I LOVE  Vanilla Coke! So now we are in stockup , and ration mode! I may have to actually go back to coke classic! <HORRORS!>

It seems at the end of the year they will discontinue, Vanilla and diet vanilla Coke, now I refuse to drink diet anything >yuck> so I can understand that, but the non diet is wonderful. But "they" cite poor sales!  Now this saddens me that I alone cannot consume enough to keep Coca Cola  going! So from now on  till it's no longer available we are stockpiling it , and I have sworn to only one can aday!

** NOTE **

I used to only drink Coke classic, but after the stroke It tasted weird to me , as many other things did as well, so I  became crazy forVanilla Coke!

ttyl!

~another one~

Three sisters ages 92, 94 and  96 live in a house together. One night the 96 year old draws a bath. She puts her foot in and pauses.  She yells to the other sisters, "Was I getting in or out of the bath?"   The 94 year old yells back, "I don't know. I'll come up and see."  She starts up the stairs and pauses.   "Was I going up the stairs or  down?"  The 92 year old is sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters.  She shakes her head and says, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful, "knock on wood." She then yells, "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the

door!"

~an"elderly" funny~

An elderly Floridian called 911 on her cell phone to report that her car has been broken into. She is hysterical as she explains her situation to the dispatcher: "They've stolen the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal and even the accelerator!" she cried. The dispatcher said, "Stay calm. An officer is on the way." A few minutes  later, the officer radios in.  "Disregard.", He says. "She got in the back-seat by mistake."

it's that time of year..

Got my AOL radio tuned into oldies Christmas!! Yeehaw, my only beef with all the Christmas channel selections is , no country Christmas! Come on there are a bizzilion country Christmas albums!!!And I can't stand Alvin and the chipmunks! And the oldies channel overplays it!But for the most part the oldies Christmas is real nice! Oh man  "Pretty Paper" by Willie Nelson, just melts my heart! I love that song!!!  Gets me all jellofied!

my my my

Odd, appears a lot of journals are suddenly going private,I  guess because of "the ads" If the  public can't  get to the ads,  maybe certain people feel they are hurting AOL. Let me clarify , there is NO hurting AOL, they are miles ahead of everyone, AOl is bundled into every new computer, for sale in every computer store therefore insuring loads of new customers constantly.Warning to those thinking of bailing, do NOT go to net zero, they take their network down for two hours every four hours! How'd ya like that??? Be in the middle of work and boom no connection for two hours! For those who slum on dialup, really AOL is hard to beat, yes, I am a DSL snob!   LOL, but I  still like ya anyway

I don't understand all the journal entry complaints!!! Mine works just fine! BTW I'm going to be deleting those now too. There's my big ol save button! ;-)

~lighten up!~

Top Ten Thoughts to Ponder

Number 10 - Life is sexually transmitted.

Number 9 - Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

Number 8 - Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If he isn't panting, make him a sandwich!

Number 7 - Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

Number 6 - Some people are like a Slinky..... not really good for anything, but you still
can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Number 5 - Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

Number 4 - All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Number 3 - Why does a slight tax increase cost you two hundred dollars and a substantial tax cut saves you thirty cents?

Number 2 - In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

AND THE NUMBER 1 THOUGHT FOR 2005: We know exactly where one cow with mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration.

for the record...

If your alert comes through and the content involves, moaning about banner ads or people leaving AOL, you will be deleted and not read, sorry,it's just ...GET OVER IT! The people who have threatened leaving AOL, well good luck finding a better ISP,oh they can start a new journal on blogspot, but really it's not better there either,I have friends on blogspot , who are badgered by spammers( worse than here!) and technical woes worse than here!Plus if you don't show up in my alert mail, I won't read them because I won't remember to take my fat ass to where they are and so far no one who's leaving  is so wonderful, I want to try and find them, except my dear boyfriend,  who hasn't left yet, he's still mulling it over, sorry to sound like a bitch but I am sick, sick, sick, sick, of reading it so delete is my next option. With a 100 plus emails a day, I am all too happy to delete

AOL  has it's issues , granted but they are  a big marketing tool, a handful of people leaving is NOTHING  to them. They won't notice. It will be a mute issue. To quote another journaler, and I forget who, I love  AOL more than I hate ad banners. Personally I love the ease of navigation, all the cutesy things. I understand my way around it and I don't want anything else, AOL meets my internet needs quite adequately. On several ocasions my hubby and I have dicussed leaving AOL and saving $50 a month, but the pros always out way the cons, so here we are still after three plus years, do NOT send me petitions, I will delete those too!
