Hello, May

Hi folks -- well, in case you hadn't noticed, today marks the start of May, and we all know what that means -- a turn of the Hello Kitty calendar that hangs in my pod (see prior versions: Jan. | Feb. | Mar. | Apr.)

Hello, May

The flipping of my calendar is not yet an internationally recognized holiday; however, also occuring today are:

* Day Without an Immigrant

* May Day

* The Empire State Building's 75th Birthday

Thanks -- Joe

    Hello Kitty is cute, but a long time ago I came across Cucumber Kitty, as I recall (the card is in my desk somewhere), and she makes me smile everytime I look at her.  I've always wished for more of Cucumber Kitty, but Hello Kitty is much more popular...

    Popcorn?!?  So, that's how they sneak their hooch into the amusement park, huh?  I'll have to try that.

    Brenda -- Bigger than a breadbox. Smaller than the Chrysler building. I don't have a tape measure handy.

    Kathy -- I'm on the Julian calendar. Actually, I forgot to change the alt text for the photo.

    Dan -- It's a box of popcorn. Unless mugs of beer now have "fresh" printed on them.

    Hey!!  I think the bear in the back is drinking a mug of beer.  What is this, some sort of biker gang?
