Hearing Steely Dan, Cousin Dupree
Okay folks, that's it for right now. I've got too many things left unblogged, so I may post over the weekend. Then again, we're getting a near-apocalyptic amount of snow forecast (up to 10 inches south and west of DC -- remember, they close schools around here for an inch or two), so I may not.
In the meantime, here is a picture from back lunch ways, featuring the plastic fork that broke apart in my mouth:
Have a good weekend, everybody. Thanks. -- Joe

I was there....Joe & I were in the middle of a conversation, then suddenly he got this weird look on his face and showed me the broken fork. He pulled a piece of plastic out of his mouth, it was histarical, I'm glad you decided to blog about it :P

Hi Sylvia -- I've asked Product Manager Susan to talk about the problems specific to the AOL UK Journals New Entries Alerts (I subscribe to a few AOL UK alerts, including yours, for testing purposes), so I know very much what you're talking about.
Thanks -- Joe (posted & mailed) -
DON'T FEEL BAD JOURNALERS...MY ALERTS SELDOM WORK EITHER. NOT WHEN I ENTER MY OWN JOURNAL, OR WHENEVER OTHERS DO SO. NOT EVEN THE ALERTS ARE WORKING FROM THIS JOURNAL OF MAGIC SMOKE. HOW UNFORTUNATE IS THAT/

Most of the English journallers have a permanent bad taste in their mouths - left by aol and their inability to correct the ongoing problem with our journal alerts. I've heard it is to do with "wireless devices", on entries of CERTAIN LENGTH: This is racilism in the extreme - why are we not allowed a proper alerts service - I read we are all allowed the same amount of characters in an entry. I'm not apologising to aol for being an English journaller, because they should be proud of us. There are some really good English journals, which soon will be closed down, due to aol's ignorant attitude towards us. I'm usually more of a mouse type, but come on aol! Enough is enough! We have suffered for months now, is our money not good enough?
