Private Journals Rostering: Fixed

So, the people who handle rostering (a roster is just a list that says who's allowed to do something, like read your private Journal) checked in -- they rebuilt the indexes in the rostering database last night, which should have fixed the problem with Private Journals that I blogged about earlier.

The tech folks checked all the private Journals that we had known were having problems (because you told us, or because they came up during testing), and they seem to be working properly now.

If the fix worked for you, or if it didn't, it would be helpful if you can check in and let me know, either via a comment or e-mail.

Also, of course, let me or Product Manager Susan know if the problem happens again.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks -- Joe

Hi -- this changed back with the R3 release, when Buddy List rostering came out (the ability to allow your entire Buddy List to read your private Journal).

I thought it was a bug, too -- I asked the Journals team, and they said because of Buddy List Rostering, they could no longer display a guaranteed accurate count of the number of readers you had, so they took down the number. Not ideal, I know.

Thanks -- Joe (posted & mailed)

Our journals used to list at the top the number of readers we had and now they do not...is that a problem that yall are going to fix?
