R4 Release Launched

Morning folks -- Product Manager Susan reports in her blog that the R4 Journals release went live successfully early this morning; she and I will both be posting more about the new features, especially using IFRAMEs and feedreaders, but the good news is that if you're not interested in any of that, the changes we got this morning won't change the way you use your Journal.

In the meantime, you can read what Susan wrote earlier about the new features.

Thanks -- Joe

Hi -- Susan and I will be blogging more in the future on how to embed IFRAMEs -- you have to paste the IFRAME HTML into the body of your entry (or All About Me area); you have to be editing in HTML view (that is, the pulldown menu in the formatting tool bar has to read HTML, not Text), and you have to know how to work with the raw HTML that makes IFRAMEs work.

When you're in HTML view of the editing window, you'll see a new link that explains about IFRAMEs and Javascript -- click that link to get more info, including an HTML code example for IFRAMEs.

Also as mentioned, currently you can only display content from Flickr within the IFRAME; they're the only site on our whitelist right now.

We will be blogging more about it soon.

Thanks -- Joe (posted & mailed)

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but I don't see an option in Edit Journal where to add an IFrame code...do we just put the code in About Me?
