AOL Journals: Magic Smoke

Hey folks,

Hope the day has gone well for you. It was a very nice spring day here. Just felt like dropping everything and taking off!

* Betty's dog Koda has lost weight and she is thrilled!.

* Indigo is celebrating her 4th anniversary of her being sober. She recalls a very courageous story of how she got there and how she overcame it. Here's to many more years of sobreity:). She also elaborates on the theme of "think globally, act locally" using a nice starfish story. I will use Dawn's comment to paraphrase this entry (Just one deed at a time, one day at time, one life at a time).

* Serendipitously, Sherry's twist on Indigo's theme applied to weight loss..positive thinking, 1 bite, 1 meal, 1 step, 1 day, 1 pound at a time!. She also wants you to know that despite some recent setbacks, she is determined to lose the pounds. Go for it!

* Tawnya's "Wednesday Hero" is Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael T. Williams.

* Vicki is shocked, surprised and thrilled that she has won the latest round of "AOL Community Photo Challenge".

* Donna describes her trip to the botanical gardens with some nice pics. Spring is finally here!. She also has a poll where she wants you to pick the winners of the NHL playoff games. No excuses :)

* Pam's daughter is an eco-warrior who has convinced her that one person can make a difference. Boy, we have a few variations of that theme this week!

* Martha wants to share with you the picture of a pretty purple flower.

* Monica's "B" photo entry for the ABC Photo Challenge.

* Barbara submits Cammie's entry where she narrates a story about how she was saved by Jesus.

* Krissy's JLand Photo Shoot entries for the subject "jewelry, buttons & pretty little things". This has been extended to Saturday, Apr. 12th.

* Marie's AOL Community Photo Challenge, judged and fun  entries for the subject "Create Your Own Postcard".

* Monica invites photo submissions for the title "Every Picture Tells a Story". Give us the story behind the picture. This weeks photo/story is: I found this _______________ (seashell, ring, cobweb, flower, rare stamp)  Where and how did you find it? Do you often find "treasures"?
