"What's the Caption? Wednesday" #2 Poll

Hi!  Valerie and I would like to thank everybody who entered captions in this week's game of "What's the Caption? Wednesday".  There were 31 captions submitted!

A panel of Jland judges has looked over all the captions, and we have chosen three as finalists.  Once again, this week, you all have made it extremely hard to choose.  There were so many fantastic submissions.  But we narrowed it down to three.

Now it's your turn to participate.  Using the poll we have provided below, choose your favorite caption for the photo below.

We are asking a few things of you.  We want the best caption to win fair and square.  Please vote only once.  Vote for the best caption, not for your favorite author!  And please, nobody campaign for votes.  You are on your honor.

Now have fun!

You have until midnight on Monday to vote.  On Tuesday morning the winner will be announced.  Any votes added to the poll after midnight on Monday will be ignored.

Thanks for voting in the poll!
Krissy :)

To respond to comments below: There is a people connection page where yo can checkout new and different blogs to read, also these are journals and those write them can write about whatever subject they wish, and they all the different journals/blogs that I read are different just depends on what you like to read about, also you can tags on your entries and enter blogplugs should you wish to highlight a particular post you have written.

    PART TWO

There is another subject that should be publicized: tags. Many of those exhibiting photos are unaware of how important tags are in drawing viewers. I have seen many marvelous photos, masterpieces, really, that have been posted for more than a year and have only received five or six views. Why? Because the individual did not tag the photo. Tags, I'm sure, are a continuing nightmare for you because of the manner in which they pile up and get lost in eight or nine pages. That's to say, if post a photo I feel is BEST IN THE WORLD, it soon becomes history with numerous pages in front. How does one solve this? They must return and repost it to send it to the head of the class. This is probably the only way this can work--UNLESS someone bothers to change the tags seen when one enters the photo realm. Some of the tags listed have been there for two years and have no meaning at all. Perhaps that would be a page to consider overhauling initially.

    RESPECTFULLY, Rob...............

A COMMENT IN TWO PARTS DUE TO SIZE LIMITATION...PART ONE

I just checked out most of the exceptionally well-written and popular journals you list preceding this journal. Is there a criteria for having one's journal with updates listed? Journal maintenance is truly time-consuming if one does it right; and though it is personally entertaining, one can easily lose interest unless there are readers. Would you suggest some ways one might receive some additional publicity for journals? Would it be possible to print an index of journals or is there already one that exists?

On the subject of journals, there is a limited number of interests listed which have not changed in the last two years. Would you consider adding some additional categories, categories grouped somewhere where one could access, select to read and click for immediate access.  For example, HISTORY might be a new category. Thus, those interested in history might go to history and CLICK. UP POPS A SELECTION LIST highlighting various categories of history from ANCIENT TO CONTEMPORARY OR MODERN. Certainly, you can imagine how this would work. It might be a bit complicated at first and subjects would need to be limited to a certain extent, perhaps. Is this an issue you would consider? I would be willing to work on a format for you on a voluntary basis if you would permit me to participate in such an endeavor. The idea has some merit, I believe. History would not have to be the only subject, naturally. I used history as an example.

The poll ended at 12 midnight on Monday.  The results have been counted.  The winner will be announced on Tuesday morning (April 15).  At that point a logo for the winner's sidebar will be awarded.  Stay tuned to see who the winner is!

I hope you all are having fun!

    Krissy :)
