Friday Blogplugs - 5/23

Hi folks,

Hope you guys are getting ready for the long weekend. The office is empty but here I am, (blog)plugging away :). By the way, next week you should be seeing some changes in Journals, specifically, OpenId support and more moods. The implication of OpenId support is that folks on Blogger do not have to get AOL/AIM screen names for leaving comments. I will provide more details when this happens.

* Indigo informs us that Judith Heartsong's essay contest this month is about "Animals" and urges us to participate. In another post, she is probing the depths of her emotions while trying to understand the meaning of life.

* Charlie poses this hypothetical sports match-up question "Brooklyn Dodgers 1955 or Philadelphia Phillies 1980".

* Sherry's weight loss journey continues with a banana split story and she has a weight loss tip.

* Bill's Wildcat Wednesday "Frank's RavenCon Adventure, Episode III" ('tis a comic strip).

* Krissy recalls a senior moment and mentions that her husband John does not need a blood transfusion any time soon. Anda little light bulb humor from her.

* Betty takes us on a tour of her new house. She is noticing that her memory is not as sharp as it used to be. Wonders if it is because she turned 50.

* Laini gives a thumbs up for Prince Caspian, the movie.

* Donna has some pictures of life on the farm but does not see herself up to it.

* John gives us the details of his fall in the shower. Thankfully, he is feeling much better.

* Paul gives us a little history and background about the songs "Spirit In The Sky" and "Abraham, Martin & John". It makes for very interesting reading.

* Beth laments that the art of letter writing is vanishing. Now all you get in the mail is junk and bills :) She uses Ted Kennedy's illness to highlight the importance of family in such situations.

* Tawnya's Wednesday Hero is Sgt.John F. Thomas & Sgt. Ronnie L. Shelley, Sr.

* Paul's (this is a different Paul) final edition of his list of 100 movies that he really likes.

* Marie writes a post about the Trinity.

* Karen is new to JLand. Please stop by and say hello.

* Bill is a heating technology expert and has started a journal to educate us about heat losses in homes.

Contests & Trivia!

* Weekly sentence with Val. This week's letters are TASBTD. The entries are  here.

Lights, Camera and Action!

* Krissy's JLand Photo Shoot entries for the subject "Say it with Color".

* Marie's AOL Community Photo Challenge, entries for the subject "Magic Hour", judged and fun. Judged and fun for the subject "Landscapes in Color"

Thanks again for the blogplugs this week.
Don't forget to tag your best en
tries with "blogplugs".
If you want to be a Guest Editor or have some interesting (or useful) blogplugs, send your submissions to JournalsEditor@aol.com and we'll review them.
