Feeling Sad

Life is a little less funny today...

I arrived home from work to find that George Carlin had passed away.  I remember being shocked (as was the rest of America) upon hearing the Seven Words You Can't Say on Television.  Shocked, yes, but even then I knew he was making history.  He was a believer in freedoms-our freedoms, and for that I thank him.   I loved his stand-up routines and I loved him in the movie Dogma.  I loved the irony in that role.

Now he is gone, and life is a little less funny today.

I agree sweetie that was and I love to say was one of my favorite comedians.I too remember his schtick of the 7 words not allowed on TV . I can quote them all and the revised list as well this is truly a sad day when a comedian ICON has passed. We will miss you George you were truly a comic that stuck to his guns even when the lame thought you were outside the lines we will miss you and value your contribution to us and say screw the powers that be.God speed George and PISS the rest of them off, you win... sorry for my Diatribe you know I never voice my opinion in the digital world but this was worth mentioning sorry for taking your blog for my soapbox just thought I would speak my peace LOVE you JEFF your BIGGUY

It truly is sad to lose someone who really tapped into the "FREEDOM OF SPEECH", unlike anyone else ever has.  What was amazing is listening to his thinking and realizing how full of truth it is.   He had a wonderful way of showing the hypocrisy of our culture.  He will be truly missed!
