Do - Cheesemaking

Challenge Item Do (Two):
Cheesemaking

I am a curious soul.  I had heard of one of our Shire members making cheese.  That piqued my interest.  However, I thought to myself that cheesemaking must involve lots of supplies and materials I do not currently possess.  At a recent Bragging Rights Tourney, the Shire cheesemaker made some cheese for snacks.  While I expected a hard cheese, the cheese she made was a soft cheese.  Soon afterward, I found a web site with a video that shows how to make cheese.

It can't be that easy, could it?  I decided to try.  It WAS that easy.  My cheese came out looking, and tasting, a lot like ricotta.   I am very pleased.

I recently found a website that explains how to make cheese at events.  I would love to try it!

Aon - Loop in Loop Jewelry

Challenge Item Aon (One):
Loop in Loop Jewelry

I found an article about Loop in Loop Jewelry in Triskele, our Kingdom's arts/sciences pamphlet.  I have no documentation other than it was in Triskele.
I thought "I can make that!".  That phrase is usually my downfall. ;)  I already had the 24 gauge wire, and I found beads I liked.   I used some beads I found at the dollar store (don't laugh, they were surprisingly gorgeous) and some pearl wannabes from Walmart. Using the instructions in Triskele, I was able to make a few necklaces.  I liked them, but I still need to figure out how to finish the ends. I found that mine had a few sharp edges that isn't pleasant with jewelry.

This is a pic taken at a recent demo.  You can get an idea of what they look like.  I will try to take a better pic that shows more detail.
