In Memory of the Victims of 911

Five years ago the Eagle wept on 911
And his screams of anger were heard though out the land
As firemen went into the smoke filled places of rubble
to give people a helping hand.

Five years ago the Eagle wept at the scene below
as he circled up above. For it was to much for him to bear
all the tear stained faces, and the blood that was everywhere .

Five years ago the Eagle circled once and then again,
and again,and again, as his cries grew louder and louder and
louder warning those who had done the evil deed that never
again would they catch the American Eagle sleeping.

The Eagle let out another mighty scream that was heard
around the world...Ole Glory and Lady Liberty both knew what
the Eagle's cry meant: the American spirit was on her way.
It was 911 and the American Spirit was being reborn.

In tribute to the fallen Americans, Lady Liberty now holds
her torch higher, and in its flames are written the names
of all who perished on that day

In tribute to the fallen Americans, the flag of their beloved
country wrote their names in sunlight on each line of red,and white,
and replaced one of her stars on her field of blue with a star
from heaven picked just for them.

Five years ago the victims of 911 became American heroes
on September 11,2001,when the American Spirit on that heart
breaking day,in the midst of a nation's tears, was reborn.
