A Little Left of Center II

It is beautiful here today.  Sunny, breezy, warm in the sun, cool in the shade = a perfect Saturday.  Dennis is outside catching some sun on the patio on the reclining lounge and I am thinking about the rest of the day.

We are going to see our son, his wife, and our grandchildren this afternoon.  I can't wait!  They went to Lego Land earlier in the week so I know there will be some fun stories to hear told. 

While I was on the phone with my son firming up the details for today's visit, my 3 year old grandson, Andrew took a tumble and I could hear him crying in the back ground.  My son said, "I better go, I have a crash and burn to deal with."   I asked if was Andrew and when he confirmed that it was, I asked him to put Andrew on the phone.

  "Hi."  A little tearful, sniffling boy said.

  "Hi, sweetheart.   Did you just get hurt?"

  Sniffle, sign, "Yeah."

   "Are you going to be okay?"  I asked.

  "Sniffle, sign, "Yeah."

   Mind you, until this point in the conversation, I could barely hear him.

   "Gramma is coming to see you today.  Would you feel better if I bring you some M&M's?"

   A little giggle, "Yeah!  When you coming, Gramma?"

   His voice rose with a lilt and an audible smile.  LOL  He's just such a great little guy.  I can't wait to deliver those M&M's along with a big hug and a kiss.

  Oh, and yes, of course I'm taking some for Megan and Nathan along with a new little plastic horse for Matthew that whinnies when you press his sides.

  Hope today was a delight! I have a few years yet before the grandkids...reading this I can't wait. I get to spoil them and come home to a peaceful house (winks)...(Hugs) Indigo
