Feeling Quiet
Keeping The Thrill Alive....
"Oh Yeah Life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone."-Jack And Diane, John Mellencamp.
Life is full of Adventure. At every corner, there is a new scene. Every day is a new day to live and dream. Each breath we take is an invitation to step on into the mystery called Life that awaits us.
So, why do people get bored with life? why do people lose the thrill that is offered with every breath we breathe?
Well, perhaps they forget the opportunities that are available, perhaps they listened to too many people tell them what life isn't instead of what life is, or perhaps they have become resigned after witnessing too much pain.
Whatever the reason, the thrill is never gone for long if we truly look for it.
It was Henry David Thoreau who said "Things don't change, We change." So, we can look forward to the depths of happiness that await us with each second of the waking day. It is all there for us to embrace, to cherish, and to adopt as ours.
It was Socrates who said "The unexamined life is not worth living." So, do not spend your precious time in fear of what You don't know about yourself. Dig deep into your mind, that wonderful frontier that seems to go on forever. Embrace your talents as well as your flaws. They are what make up the beautiful life that only You can live. Truly, we have nothing to lose but only to gain by being proud of who we are today, and the fantastic people we can become by developing our character.
Sure, the thrill can disappear at times. Being happy all the time is not only unreasonable, it is irrational. One does not need to be happy to feel the thrill of life. You can watch a sad movie and cry like you haven't cried in a long time, now that is a thrill like no other. We can go through a rainbow of feelings, there are many to encounter if we are to only look. Now, isn't that a thrill? Just to know a wide range of feelings are available for each one of us.
We don't have to live our lives looking back to the days when the thrill was still there. We have a better reason than that. We are living our lives because we are alive and what can be more thrilling than that?

Ahhhh, Greenberg - you are determined to be the perky ray of sunshine that I know and love (and only occasionally want to garrote...).
I go through a rainbow of feeling all the time. All at the SAME time every now and then. I think it has something to do with hormones....
Actually, I agree with you. This time. Mark your calender, sweetie, as it might be awhile before you hear that again!
