Wow, I just realized this journal is a year old today. Interesting that so much has changed, yet so much is the same.

Congrats on making it through your first year... but I'm sorry in a way that more hasn't changed for you. :(

Wow! You posted a lot since my last visit! I wish I could join you for a cup of coffee and a real life chat. I have experienced these very feelings (in my earlier days;) but fighting about them and saying hateful things solves very little. It's easier to leave, storm out, or even divorce but who wins there? This sounds like a struggle over change, control, and self.
You two have a beautiful new little boy who deserves loving parents who are willing to fix this. Did I mention he is a BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY!:)? If you don't do this for each other at least make the attempt for Benjamin.
Dr. Phil has a great book called Family First. If you're not up for reading his book or watching his show how about family counseling? If you can't both agree to counseling how about getting some support for you, K?
Having a new baby never fixed problems that were there before. Babies usually only add more stress...normal stress but stress nonetheless.
Being a stay-at-home mom can be hard and lonely work. It is easy to build resentment; get depressed; and fight with your spouse.
I get the feeling that neither one of you are completely wrong or at fault but are having trouble getting on the same page and understanding each other. You both have work to do. I have said too much already but I am pulling for you both! Email me if you like. Hang in there!
Donna:)
