                     *~!~*"*!*"*~!~*

Back in my hardcore goth days i dyed my hair purple or burgundy a lot.  I eventually stopped dying it because it didn't go with any of my maternity clothes when i was pregnant the last time, but for a while there it was colored a lot.

Preview  Well, one time we were planning to go see Siouxsie and the Banshees and i wanted to have the burgundy hair to end all burgundy hair.  I figured if i lightened my hair then the burgundy color would really stand out, so i went to a salon to have my dark hair lightened.  I thought i was in good hands because i knew the woman who would be working on me.  Hahahahaaa.

She lightened the top half of my hair, and by the time she got around to lightening the bottom half of my hair it was time to rinse out the top.  What i ended up with was the top of my hair being a whole lot lighter than the bottom of my hair--quite noticable.  I hated it. And once it was burgundy it was even more noticable.  Yikes.  (Moral of this story -- just because you know the stylist doesn't mean she's any good.)

Everyone who saw my hair that day and that night was at least nice enough to not comment on how bad it looked, and i think the next day i dyed it a good old fashioned goth BLACK.

Preview   This is a beat up Poloroid photo, and it looks pretty crappy but here i am.  The top half of my hair is a really nice shade of burgundy.  D'oh.  Dig the Siouxsie and the Banshees make-up.  Sheesh.

Interesting story about this dress, btw.  A few years back i took my son, Jordan, to see Marilyn Manson and Hole and he went in gothic drag and wore this dress.....and he looked better in it than i ever did!  Brat.
