End of the Year Top 10.....

Jamie Mottram over at Mr. Irrelevant is putting together a year-end package on what figures the blogosphere have posted on the most in 2006. He asked for the top 10 from various blogs and without further ado, here is my top 10 with a comment after each.

10. Gilbert Arenas: I am one of the few people that love the NBA and if you even know what the NBA is, you love Agent Zero. He's nasty on the court, he's crazy and we get free tickets to games from AOL. Plus, he used to live next door to me. NBD.

9. Joe Gibbs: I hate the Redskins, yet Gibbs won't even be the last one on this list. I guess it's easy to write about the DC area's second-coming of Christ when he has been a COMPLETE failure.

8. Brian Urlacher: Overrated? Are you kidding me? Best linebacker in the NFL. Hands down. And he pulls a lot of tail. What's not to like about the guy?

7. Joe Theismann: Here is the second (ex)Redskin. His voice makes my ears bleed and his comments in the booth are about as interesting as a Michael Richards joke.

6.  Derek Jeter: He got robbed of the MVP and didn't win a world series. But, he did win a gold glove, hank aaron award and his ever impressive stable of women added Jessica Biel. Not a bad year after all.

5. Barry Bonds: The only thing in this world I dislike more then this needle-using waste of space is single-ply toilet paper.

4. Kris and Anna Benson: The mediocre starter and the former stripper turned MLB's most marketable slut had quite a year. He was traded for her tasteless Xmas outfit or possible Playboy spread. Then they filed for divorce, but got back together. It's like a trainwreck, you just can't stop watching.

3. Moustache Bets: I know this isn't a person, but I went 1-1 in these this year, ruining my perfect record. There is only one way to settle a disagreement if you are a man. Moustache bet! (can also be Will Clark/Don Mattingly)

2. Terrell Owens: Is it wrong to laugh and poke fun at someone's attempt to end their life?

1. A-Rod: God, I can hear the BS now. A-Rod's gay, he sucks, Jeter swallows, overrated etc. I'll go down swinging in my defense of one of the greatest players I will ever see. You let me know the last time .290 35 HR and 121 RBI was a bad year.. HATERS!

I totally agree about A-Rod- .290 BA, 35 Homers and 121 RBI's is FAR from a bad season.  Has everyone forgotten that HE was AL MVP last year????? Give the guy a break, don't hate him because he and his agent were smart and got him a KILLER contract.  And yes, I know, I know- he should live up to that money, well ya know what- he will probably go down as the best Baseball player of all time, passing Barry for HR's and  even Hank Aaron for the all time spot, and pretty much has a gaurenteed ticket to Cooperstown.
Even though the Yanks invested alot of money into him, and he hasn't had a stellar season- in the end he will be worth every red cent any team puts into him.

    A) I have no idea why a Bears fan would hate the Redskins, or even care enough about them to write about them so often, B) Please, explain to me how Gibbs has been a "complete failure"?  Sure, he has failed on some level (most of which is not his fault, it's the organization's), but he did lead them to the playoffs in his second season back.  That's called success, which is the exact opposite of "failure."
