Hearing Tupac
My NFL Anger Released
I needed a few days too cool off. I missed the Bears trading their first round pick to the Bills for a second rounder because I was in NJ with Lushette. I came home and checked it out. The pick? Danieal Manning. No, not the offspring of Archie Manning, not a brother or cousin or any relation to Peyton or Eli.
D. Manning ... shouldn't that be V. Manning? For Vag... actually I better not.
This guy is from the football powerhouse of ... Abilene Christian?!? Yes, that Division II school. Instead of addressing the major area of need in the draft -- OFFENSE -- Chicago takes defensive players with its first five picks. Now I have no problem with Manning, I hope he pans out, but we had the best defense in the league last year. So instead of getting someone who we need, like a tight end or a deep threat like Chad Jackson who people raved about.. we take two corners, a defensive end, a defensive tackle and a linebacker.
In recent years the Bears have drafted gems like Rashaan Salaam and Curtis Enis. Then they take the small college route, which is fine, but why do this when you are returning the full top D in the league? How about addressing the 28th ranked O in the NFL? Jerry Angelo is a complete putz in my book and I am counting the days until he is fired.

after last years bears were the suprise of the league i thought my beloved patriots had a realistic shot at getting some revenge of the beating they took twenty years ago at the hands of the greatest team i believe ever assembled but now i realize the bears will never make it back to the big game so long as they keep drafting like that, i mean defense does win championship but somebody still has to score some points! the good news my pats will be there again ,they're not afraid to go offense. big pats fan small bears fan!

Look on the bright side: At least this Manning hasn't beat anyone within an inch of their life for using a laptop at a diner.
