I am slowly leaning towards Gilbert Arenas as my favorite player in the NBA. I was a Magic Johnson fan growing up and liked the Lakers for that reason. I then changed my allegiance to my home town Nets a few years back. I enjoy the NBA, but I have become less and less interested over the years because it is crap. College hoops is better, but that's for another time. Now, living in the D.C. area, I got to Wizards games and have taken a liking to Arenas. A few years back, I lived next door to Arenas in a nice little burb in Va. This just adds to it. Now, Arenas is talking about his plans for a new basketball court in his house. Complete with a glass mirrored floor and walls. What will be the point of this?

Arenas will be displaying jerseys. Yes, jerseys. He has collected over 262 so far. Players and jerseys ranging from Michael Jordan's high school away jersey, Lebron's freshman year jersey ("I talked to his mother, she is sending me a Cavs throwback") to Jason McElwain's jersey. McElwain is the autistic child whose story of hoops glory is going to be made into a movie. Arenas says he takes his hobbies seriously and won't take no for an answer. I think he has OCD. When I lived next door to him, he literally had his lawn mowed every other day. It was kinda creepy, not gonna lie. Nevertheless, dude can ball outta conrtol!

Related: Mr. Irrelevant was at Game 3 of the Wizzies series. He also dropped this "everything you will ever need to know about G.A." post. I think Brokeback Mottram has a Heath Ledger sized crush on Arenas.
